Polyguard by Polypipe Building Products is a complete solution for protection against potential
contaminants in drinking water where pipes are to be laid in redeveloped sites previously exposed to
industrial materials.
New Plastic Fittings†
We have now extended our already comprehensive range of fittings with the new plastic fittings to further
ensure the essential safety of drinking water against a wide range of potential contaminants, including
organic, inorganic, corrosive and toxic elements.
Approved under Regulation 31 of the Water Supply (Water Quality) Regulations 2000. A reference to the fittings is included in the “List
of Approved Products” published by the DWI. WRAS Approval has also been obtained ensuring peace of mind for the installer.
Polyguard pipe is a multilayer pipe. The inner layer carries the water and is constructed from Polypipe’s proven flexible blue PE80 pipe
to EN 12201. It’s co-extruded with an aluminium layer to resist permeation from chemicals and an additional outer blue PE80 layer
to protect the aluminium layer from mechanical damage etc. Brown stripes on the outer layer ensure any installed pipework is easily
identified.
