Septic Tank for Off-Mains Wastewater Treatment
The Marsh Euro:Septic Tank delivers advanced technical performance and cost savings compared to traditional market options.
Available in capacities from 2,800 to 4,500 litres, the Euro:Septic range is CE-marked in line with Construction Product Regulations and complements Marsh’s wider portfolio of horizontal septic tanks.
Independently tested and certified to EN12566-1 Annex B, the Euro:Septic achieves an exceptional 99.63% hydraulic efficiency. Larger horizontal tanks up to 20,000 litres are also certified to EN12566-1 standards.
How It Works
Septic tanks are often the most straightforward and economical solution for treating wastewater from small developments. Wastewater enters the tank, where solids settle as sludge on the base. These solids are broken down naturally through anaerobic digestion, providing settlement and partial biological treatment.
Because the effluent is only partially treated, it must undergo further treatment before being discharged into the environment—most commonly through an underground drainage field that disperses it into the soil.
